Due to continued growth, the nursery is now seeking an individual who has a passion for delivering high quality childcare and committed to completing their Early Years apprenticeship course alongside their working hours.

Early Years Apprentice duties include:
- Rotate and prepare resources, activities and books to follow children’s needs and interests
- Prepare the environment at the beginning and end of the day
- Maintain the environment to expected Company standards during the day
- Clean the environment at the end of the session and day
- Notify the appropriate person when new supplies are needed
- Develop new resources (following discussion with colleagues and manager)
- Balance the need to maintain the environment with direct work with the children
- Ensure that safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Treat each child as a unique individual and work in a way that supports anti-discriminatory practice
- Support new children in settling into the environment
- Carry out observation, assessment and planning to required standards for key children, and contribute to OAP for all children in the setting
- Present activities to the children, based on their interests and developmental needs
- Support children to find and engage in constructive activity
- Change nappies and clothing as needed, and assist with toilet learning as appropriate
- Take responsibility for ensuring the completion of necessary records
- Discuss any concerns about a child’s welfare or development with the setting management
- At all times consider where your help can be most utilised and be constantly aware of the individual needs of all children and colleagues
- Communicate directly with the setting management team in the event of any concerns, short falls or inappropriate conduct
Training to be offered
- TQUK Level 2 Early Years Practitioner (RQF) apprenticeship or,
- TQUK Level 3 Early Years Educator (RQF) apprenticeship
- Functional Skills in English and Maths if not exempt
