Jenna wanted to raise the quality of apprenticeship training. She saw a desperate need in the market for highly skilled staff, especially with the ongoing recruitment crisis in the sector. She wanted a training provider that could deliver high quality apprentices, upskilling staff at Levels 2 and 3 to meet ratios in nursery settings, as well as CPD accredited Montessori training so nurseries could upskill their own teams to understand the method and present the Montessori apparatus.

With a focus on providing high quality Early Years and Montessori training for nurseries, Jenna launched the Montessori Apprentice Academy, based in Watford, Hertfordshire, with a dedicated, state of the art training room containing all the Montessori materials up to age 7 for workshops, as well as a spacious office for the team.

During National Apprenticeship Week in February, we were honoured to welcome Peter Taylor, Elected Mayor of Watford, to Montessori Apprentice Academy. He met past and present learners and staff, hearing first-hand about the impact apprenticeships have had on their careers and confidence.

"It was great to visit Montessori Apprentice Academy. It was clear from chatting with the staff how much they enjoy their jobs, support each other, and have benefitted from the training provided. Apprenticeships can transform careers — they give people the opportunity to develop their skills and confidence to succeed. I'm really pleased that Watford has so many businesses actively supporting apprentices and investing in people's futures."

Elected Mayor of Watford

In March, we were delighted to attend the Childcare Expo in London, connecting with Early Years practitioners, childminders, and nursery managers from across the sector. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the impact our apprenticeships and training have had on the workforce and to explore how we can continue to grow and develop practitioners at a time when they are needed most. Everyone enjoyed spinning our prize wheel and walking away with courses, resources, and the occasional glass of prosecco!
