Level 3 Apprenticeship Funding

This apprenticeship costs £6,000 + VAT and is funded by both the employer and the government.

The government will pay 95% (£5,700) of the cost.

The remaining 5% (£300 + VAT) will be paid at the start of the apprenticeship.

For Employers:

  • If you’re an employer, you can start apprenticeships at any time of the year, provided your staff meet the entry requirements.
  • If you are an employer who has a salary bill under £3million per year the government will fund up to 95% of the course costs.
  • If you have a salary bill of £3million and above a year you will then fund all course fees via your ‘Apprenticeship Levy’.
  • If you have an apprentice/employee aged 16-18 and have under 50 members of staff the training will be fully funded by the government via the apprenticeship funding route.
  • If you are enrolling an employee aged 19-24 and have a salary bill under £3million per year you will be asked to financially contribute 5% towards their training fees.

How do I apply for funding?

If you are eligible for government funding it is quick and easy to set up an apprenticeship account on the government website. Once you have created your account you’ll be able to get funding to pay for apprenticeship training and assessment costs.
