You must have been a UK, EEA, or EU resident for at least the past three years to undertake this training programme.
In addition, you must be able to commit to the full length of the programme and be able to meet the programme modules through your job role.
If you do not have a level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English, you will be required to work towards achieving these qualifications as part of your apprenticeship.
The End-point assessment is an independent assessment of the knowledge, skills and behaviours which have been learnt throughout the apprenticeship and tests the apprentice’s ability to apply them in the workplace. After a minimum of 372 days and successful delivery of the programme, you will be able to enter the Gateway to take your End Point Assessment (EPA). The EPA is a synoptic assessment of the knowledge, skills and behaviours that have been developed throughout the apprenticeship. The EPA for this standard is made up of three assessment methods (supported by a portfolio of work): Observation with Questions (60 minutes), Professional Discussion (60 minutes), Case Study Report and Presentation 4000 word report and 20 minute presentation on their case study, followed by 20 minute questioning session.
Off-the-job training
As part of the apprenticeship, alongside your job role, a minimum of 6 hours per week of your time in work must be dedicated to improving new skills, knowledge and behaviours.
You will undertake an online assessment that will help us to understand your learning style and needs, then we will tailor your learning experience accordingly.
This can be any time devoted to learning and improving new skills without interruption.
You will have monthly teaching sessions with your development coach which will include face to face, and online.

There is no set start date - you can enrol throughout the year and complete the course at your own pace to meet your individual needs. It should take approximately 18-24 months to complete.
Successful Early Years Lead Practitioners work directly with children, skilfully leading day-to-day practice at an industry-recognised level of competency. Degree level apprenticeship.
Apprenticeships are funded through the Government’s Apprenticeship Service. Employers can fund training through their apprenticeship levy, or for smaller businesses 95% of the cost is covered by the Government. Learners don’t contribute financially.
