An Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Montessori nursery and Forest School set in a lovely Georgian house in the centre of Stamford. They are seeking to recruit a Qualified Montessori Teacher to join their wonderful nursery.
Duties as Qualified Montessori Teacher will include:
- Plan and provide high-quality care and Montessori education to children aged 2-6
- Working as part of a team to create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily.
- Observing, assessing, and planning for the children’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress.
- Keeping up to date and informed of legislation in relation to early education and ensure that all paperwork is in keeping with the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements.
- Becoming familiarised with the nursery’s policies and procedures
- Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support children’s individual needs
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development
- Ensure the nursery is clean, organised, and well-maintained
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 Montessori Pedagogy qualification (or other full and relevant Montessori qualification)
- QTS, EYPS or EYTS
- Previous experience of working in a childcare / nursery setting with children between the ages of 2 – 6 years old
- Previous experience of working in a Montessori setting is essential.
- An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS.
- Excellent communication skills and able to effectively as part of a team
- Patience, understanding, and a genuine love for working with children
- Paediatric First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare
