An Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Montessori nursery and Forest School set in a lovely Georgian house in the centre of Stamford. They believe children to be curious, independent, fascinated, capable and creative individuals with a huge amount to offer the world. They believe young children can reach powerful levels of creative learning when their natural inquisitiveness is nurtured. This natural approach fosters self-respect and confidence in their ability to work things out for themselves.

They are seeking to recruit a Qualified Montessori Teacher to join their wonderful nursery.

Duties as Qualified Montessori Teacher will include:

  • Plan and provide high-quality care and Montessori education to children aged 2-6
  • Working as part of a team to create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily.
  • Observing, assessing, and planning for the children’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress.
  • Keeping up to date and informed of legislation in relation to early education and ensure that all paperwork is in keeping with the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements.
  • Becoming familiarised with the nursery’s policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support children’s individual needs
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development
  • Ensure the nursery is clean, organised, and well-maintained

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 Montessori Pedagogy qualification (or other full and relevant Montessori qualification)
  • QTS, EYPS or EYTS
  • Previous experience of working in a childcare / nursery setting with children between the ages of 2 – 6 years old
  • Previous experience of working in a Montessori setting is essential.
  • An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, understanding, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Paediatric First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare

Salary:

  • £28,000 D.O.E.

Hours:

  • Full-time – 40 hours per week
